“ENVIRONMENTAL” HOUSE RULES OR RECOMMENDATIONS

- Use water responsibly. To save water, ensure faucets are tightly closed, flush the toilet with control, no need to empty the entire tank.

- Avoid making excessive noise to avoid disturbing wildlife.

- Do not litter without control; always use designated recycling bins.

- It is prohibited in all activities to throw paper, clothing, and plastic confetti. We are in nature, and it cannot be cleaned or undone.

- Use ashtrays or similar containers for cigarette butts. There is a fire hazard.

- Respect the heritage; do not dismantle stone walls.

- For the proper functioning of biological septic tanks, dispose of all papers in the trash, not the toilet. Do not pluck flowers or branches.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT CRITERIA IN NATURE

 

- Walk on marked trails. Do not step on vegetation or take shortcuts.

- Avoid stepping on crops; farmers will appreciate it.

- Do not pluck flowers or branches.

- No wild camping allowed.

- Respect the heritage. Do not dismantle stone walls or ruins of farmhouses.

- Respect and preserve water from springs, natural ponds, etc. Do not disturb amphibians by stirring springs and ponds. Do not throw soap, waste, or pollutants into the water. Do not let the water from springs run longer than necessary.

- Avoid nesting areas of birds during breeding seasons.

- If you have dogs, keep them leashed to avoid disturbing people or animals.

 

BASIC RULES FOR GUIDED TOURS

 

THE GUIDE DURING INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE CLIENT WILL EXPLAIN IN DETAIL WHAT THE ACTIVITY ENTAILS, INCLUDING THE ROUTE (DISTANCE, ELEVATION, DIFFICULTY, TIMINGS, ETC.), AND WHAT WILL BE EXPLAINED AND SEEN.

1- DURING THE ACTIVITY, THE GUIDE IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DECISION-MAKING, GIVEN THEIR LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE.

2- WE WILL NEVER OVERTAKE THE GUIDE DURING THE JOURNEY.

3- IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, WE WILL FOLLOW THE GUIDE'S INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT HESITATION.

4- THE GROUP SHOULD NEVER BE SEPARATED.

5- IF A CLIENT DECIDES TO RETURN ALONE TO WHERE THE VEHICLES ARE, FOR ANY REASON, EITHER EVERYONE RETURNS WITH THEM OR THEY DO SO UNDER THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY, POSSIBLY IN WRITING (IF THEY ARE OF LEGAL AGE).

6- CLIENTS WITH POTENTIAL HEALTH RISKS (ALLERGIES, PHOBIAS, ASTHMA, HEART PROBLEMS, ETC.) MUST INFORM THE GUIDE, SO THAT IT CAN BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT, ALLOWING THE GUIDE TO ADJUST THE TIMINGS AND WALKING PACE FOR THE GROUP.

7- THE GUIDE WILL ADVISE YOU ON THE LEVEL OF NOISE GENERATED BY THE GROUP AS WELL AS THE CIVIC BEHAVIOR OF VISITORS IN RELATION TO THE SURROUNDINGS.

 

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

 

1- BACKPACK.

2- PREFERABLY HIKING BOOTS. FOR GARRAF, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE BOOTS HAVE A NON-SLIP SOLE TO AVOID SLIPPING.

3- WATER BOTTLE WITH A MINIMUM OF 1 LITER OF WATER.

4- SUNGLASSES, CAP, AND SUNSCREEN.

5- WATCH AND PHONE.

6- A WATERPROOF JACKET IS PREFERRED (IN CASE OF CHANGING WEATHER) AND LONG PANTS.
